HEALING THROUGH NATURE

Plant Spirit Medicine is a healing modality -- based on both Chinese five-element medicine and indigenous shamanism – that works with nature to bring balance to a person’s body, mind and spirit.  The cause or basis of a person’s dis-ease is discovered rather than treating presenting symptoms.

Plant Spirit Medicine is founded on the teachings of Eliot Cowan, author of the book Plant Spirit Medicine, Swan-Raven & Co., 1995, 187 pp.  Eliot, a Huichol Indian shaman who works closely with indigenous people in the Americas and Australia, rediscovered the ancient shamanic practice of Plant Spirit Medicine in the 1980s.  Mary Beth was trained and initiated by Eliot, who has trained several hundred Plant Spirit Medicine practitioners.

Mary Beth Robinson will be conducting workshops on Plant Spirit Medicine on  May 17, June 21, Sept. 20 and Oct. 18 at Erin’s Meadow Herb Farm.   The workshop introduces participants to ways to build relationships with plants and to explore the medicine they offer, through the experience of observation and dream journeys

Erin’s Meadow Herb farm is located in the Marlow community of Anderson County near Oak Ridge, Tenn. The herb farm offers a full schedule of herb and garden-related classes each season.  For directions or information on classes, programs for groups, etc., visit online www.erinsmeadowherbfarm.com or call 865-435-1452.
